Orthopedics is a combination of the words orthos and paedia, meaning a regular (orthos) child (paedia). It is a medical specialty that mainly examines the musculoskeletal system and its problems, and aims to examine, prevent and treat congenital, acquired or traumatized lesions that change the morphology and function of the body's motion system.

br>Physical therapy, or physiotherapy, as it is commonly known in English-speaking countries, is given to the treatment of patients with electric current, heat or cold application, exercises or various waves for the purpose of restoring functional movements that decrease due to injury, illness, trauma or old age.
Physical therapy covers a wide range of disease states diagnosed by doctors (physiatrists) who have received specialization training in physical medicine and rehabilitation after medical school.
